Grabbing Business Cards – What Do I Do With Them Now?

For some, the goal at any networking event is to collect as many business cards as possible. The more cards the more successful the event.

If you have a stack of business cards…..maybe you could consider doing some of the following:

• Put the date on the business card of when you met the person & perhaps some notes about your conversation or their interests
• Plan to follow up with people in 1-2 days after receiving the business card
• Send a personal e-mail, a handwritten note or even make a phone call to the person
• Add their information to your database for future reference


Seems simple enough but just gathering a stack of business cards is not going to make your networking make the connections you need to succeed.
