Welcome to Greenfield!

Greenfield was chosen as the county seat of Hancock County, Indiana in 1828. Since those humble beginnings, we have grown to a diverse community offering vibrant leadership, an energetic economic environment and a collaborative atmosphere between businesses, education, community, non-profits and government.

The Hancock County Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest business organizations in Hancock County. We are a resource of information for all and we take the initiative to ensure that our business members’ voices are heard. Our Chamber is a pro-business influence in our community and provides numerous opportunities for members to make connections, share information and learn best practices from their peers.

Our Chamber Office is located at One Courthouse Plaza which is in the Courthouse Square Historic District in downtown Greenfield and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Although it was built in 1875, the historic building became the Chamber’s home in 1997.  It remains a vibrant home to the Chamber today as well as many other businesses and organizations.
